Welcome to OREYORU Vent Out, an initiative by OREYORU Wellness. Our mission is to provide an affordable, accessible, non-clinical, supportive listening space for individuals.

This document outlines our Terms of Service (the rules for using our platform) and our Privacy Policy (how we handle your information). By accessing or using any part of OREYORU Vent Out, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Important Note regarding Proprietorship: OREYORU Vent Out is operated as a proprietorship by Clinical Psychologist Joyson. This means that the owner, Clinical Psychologist Joyson, is supervising and managing the services and its operations with the help of contracted qualified staff like case managers, content creators, counsellors, and psychologists. While we strive to ensure the highest standards of service and security, it is important for you to understand this legal structure.

Part 2: Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the services provided by OREYORU Vent Out.

2.1 Nature of Service: Supportive Listening (Non-Clinical)

  • OREYORU Vent Out provides supportive listening services only. Our counsellors, who hold Bachelor’s to Master’s degrees in Psychology or related fields, are here to listen, offer a safe space for expression, and help you gain self-awareness.
  • This service is NOT a substitute for professional clinical therapy, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Our counsellors do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe medication.
  • EMERGENCY SITUATIONS: OREYORU Vent Out is NOT a crisis intervention service, emergency helpline, or suited for acute mental health crises.
    • If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, self-harm urges, or any other medical or mental health emergency, please seek immediate professional help. Contact a local emergency service, a medical professional, or a crisis hotline without delay.
    • OREYORU Vent Out is not equipped to handle emergencies, and our counsellors are not responsible for managing crisis situations.

2.2 Counsellor Relationship and Responsibility

  • Independent Practitioners: The psychologists/counsellors you connect with through OREYORU Vent Out are independent practitioners. They are contracted by us solely to provide supportive listening services to individuals like you.
  • Sole Responsibility: The individual counsellor assigned to you is solely responsible for your well-being, concerns, and any advice or guidance provided during your session. They are exclusively accountable for the content and conduct of the session.
  • Limitation of Liability of OREYORU Vent Out: OREYORU Vent Out and OREYORU Wellness (including its owner, employees, and agents) are NOT responsible or liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, losses, injuries, or harm of any kind arising from or in connection with:
    • The services provided by the independent counsellors.
    • Any actions, omissions, advice, or conduct of the independent counsellors.
    • Any reliance on information obtained through OREYORU Vent Out services.
    • Any personal decisions or actions you take after a session.
    • Any damages or losses that occur to you as a result of using our services.
    • Your failure to seek appropriate clinical or emergency medical attention when necessary.By using our service, you explicitly acknowledge and accept that your engagement is directly with the assigned counsellor, and you release OREYORU Vent Out and OREYORU Wellness from any and all liability related to the session content or outcome.

2.3 Booking, Payment, and Cancellations

  • Payment Required: Full fee payment before your session is required to confirm your booking slot.
  • Session Duration: Each session will be a maximum of 30 to 60 minutes in duration. You can book sessions according to your need (e.g., a 30-minute session or a 60-minute session).
  • Extended Time: Any session exceeding 60 minutes is strictly not allowed as a standard service. If a counsellor chooses to offer you additional time beyond 60 minutes, it is entirely at their discretion and goodwill, and not an obligation of OREYORU Vent Out or the counsellor.
  • Cancellation Policy:
    • You must inform OREYORU Vent Out of any schedule change or cancellation at least 24 hours before your confirmed session time.
    • If you fail to provide at least 24 hours’ notice, or if you do not attend a scheduled session (no-show), the session will be charged in full, and no refund will be issued.

2.4 Confidentiality of Counsellor Details

  • The personal details of our counsellors, including their phone numbers or other contact information, are confidential and will not be provided to clients.
  • Please do not enquire about or attempt to obtain such personal details from the counsellors. All communication and scheduling must go through the OREYORU Vent Out platform.

2.5 User Conduct

  • You agree to use OREYORU Vent Out services responsibly, respectfully, and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • You must not use our services for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activities, or to transmit any material that is offensive, abusive, defamatory, or infringes on the rights of others.
  • You agree not to record, screenshot, or otherwise capture any part of a session (audio, video, or text) without the explicit mutual consent of both you and the counsellor.
  • You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and truthfulness of all information you provide to OREYORU Vent Out.

2.6 Intellectual Property

  • All content, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property on the OREYORU Vent Out website and platform are owned by or licensed to Clinical Psychologist Joyson (OREYORU Wellness). You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any part of our platform without explicit written permission.

2.7 Termination

  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to OREYORU Vent Out services at our sole discretion, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms of Service or for any other reason we deem appropriate.

2.8 Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  • These Terms of Service and any disputes arising out of or related to them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
  • You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Kochi, Kerala, India, for the resolution of any disputes.

Part 3: Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how OREYORU Vent Out collects, uses, and protects your information.

3.1 Information We Collect

We collect various types of information to provide and improve our services:

  • Information You Provide (Intake Form Data): When you register or fill out our intake form, we collect personal information such as:
    • Your Name
    • Contact details (e.g., email address, phone number)
    • Basic demographic information (e.g., age, gender)
    • Brief details about your reasons for seeking a session (non-clinical, limited to what you share on the form).
  • Payment Information: When you make a payment, your payment details (e.g., credit/debit card information) are processed securely by third-party payment gateways (Razorpay/Stripe). OREYORU Vent Out does NOT store your full payment card details on our servers. We only receive confirmation of payment from the gateway.
  • Non-Clinical/Private Session Data (IMPORTANT):
    • OREYORU Vent Out does NOT store, record, or access the content of your private sessions with the counsellor. The conversations between you and your assigned counsellor are strictly confidential and remain between you two.
    • Counsellors are instructed to take confidential notes using secure, offline applications on their own devices. These notes are solely for the counsellor’s professional use and are not accessible by OREYORU Vent Out.
  • Technical and Usage Data: We automatically collect certain information when you visit our website, such as:
    • Your Internet Protocol (IP) address
    • Browser type and version
    • Device type and operating system
    • Pages you visit on our site, time spent on pages, and other interaction data.
    • This data is primarily used for website analytics, security, and to improve our service.
  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies to enhance your browsing experience, remember your preferences, and understand how you interact with our website. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings.

3.2 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To Provide Services: To manage your bookings, facilitate sessions, and assign you to a suitable counsellor based on the non-clinical information you provide in the intake form.
  • To Process Payments: To confirm and process your session fees.
  • To Improve Our Services: To understand usage patterns, troubleshoot issues, and enhance the overall user experience of the OREYORU Vent Out platform.
  • Communication: To send you important updates, confirmations, reminders, and respond to your inquiries.
  • Security and Fraud Prevention: To protect our platform and users from fraudulent or unauthorized activities.
  • Compliance: To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3.3 How We Share Your Information

We respect your privacy and will only share your information in limited circumstances:

  • With Counsellors: We share necessary booking information (e.g., your name, session time, and the brief, non-clinical reason from your intake form) with your assigned counsellor to facilitate the session. We do not share the content of your sessions.
  • With Payment Processors: Your payment information is shared securely with third-party payment gateways (Razorpay/Stripe) to process transactions. They handle your data according to their own privacy policies.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental request, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or the rights, property, or safety of others.
  • With Your Consent: We may share your information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.

We will NEVER sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

3.4 Data Security

  • We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
  • However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

3.5 Data Retention

  • We retain your personal information (from the intake form and booking details) only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with our legal obligations, and to resolve disputes.
  • Session content/private data is NOT stored by OREYORU Vent Out.

3.6 Your Rights

Subject to applicable Indian laws, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to Access: To request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to Correction: To request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
  • Right to Deletion: To request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal and contractual obligations).
